Brant Family Health Records is a personal app used only by members of the Brant family to view their own health records. It is not a commercial product and has no other users.
When a family member connects a healthcare provider, the app receives, read-only, the records that person approves: for example demographics, immunizations, lab results, vital signs, visits, clinical notes and documents, conditions, allergies and medications.
Everything is stored on the family's own computer. Sign-in tokens and app credentials are kept in that computer's system keychain. The app does not have a server; nothing is uploaded, backed up to, or shared with any third party by the app. This website only relays the sign-in result back to the app and stores nothing.
The family members who use the app on that computer. Connecting a provider means agreeing that the family members using the app can see the records it brings in (for example, parents see their children's records). The app does not notify anyone of each view. No one outside the family has access.
Only so the family can see and organize its own records. Data is never sold, shared, used for advertising, analytics, research, or any other purpose.
Access can be revoked at any time from the provider's patient portal (for example MyChart) or by disconnecting the provider in the app; disconnecting deletes the stored sign-in. Records can be removed from the app at any time.
